You can't read photography news in 2024 without hearing about artificial intelligence (AI) and other things being done with your photo software that were previously only possible in-camera. Let's consider some creative possibilities with recent developments (pun intended) and leave you with some ideas about incorporating these new technologies into your creative workflow.
**This topic advances so quickly that we'll undoubtedly cover new things announced recently.**
We'll chat about:
- using AI to change things not previously changeable
- better masking for easier editing
- better editing if you hate masking
- what's new from Adobe, Skylum, and other software companies adding AI features
- generative AI technology (such as Adobe Firefly) and how it can supplement your camera-captured images

He writes frequently on his website, TechPhotoGuy.com, and speaks at photographic events around the country. His images have been selected for inclusion in PPA's Loan Collection, he's been a third-place category winner in PPA's Grand Imaging awards, and he was a World Photographic Cup finalist.
