Duane Murphy
Duane Murphy is the owner of Great American Portraits™, started in 2000.
Duane works in the US 10 to 11 months a year and spends 1-2 months working in Japan since 2005. He specializes in Multi-Generational Family Portraits, Pets (and their families) and a variety of ‘Chosen Commercial Work’. Duane’s core belief is that by helping our community, the community will pay you back. You just have to look for the opportunity, have a plan and know your numbers.
In Duane’s past life, he was owner and lead consultant of Managed Information Services an IT Company that specialized in Law Office Automation. He started his photographic career when he chose to get his life back.
Today, he gives to his community by supporting his personal projects ‘Vets and Pets, who saved who’ and ‘Survivors.’ In these projects, Duane provides complementary Professional Portraits to people whose circumstances prevent them from considering capturing this point in their lives. These reasons range from PTSD to just trying to figure out how to get through the next round of Chemo or how to live with whatever life has thrown at them that has changed their lives.
Duane helps photographers in the US, England and Ireland fill their calendars and studios with clients who are happy to spend thousands of dollars for portraits that they value so much more than the money they happily give to you! And they even say Thank You! – These process work in YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD wherever that may be.
