OREGON PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION
Does your heart sleep by the sea? Let the waves hit your feet and the sand be your seat, in this beach themed sea-fari!
Sunday: after breakfast snacks (provided), we will be exploring the Long Beach peninsula--beach shots, a cool lighthouse, rusty boats, powerful ocean waves, various waterfowl, cranberry bogs, the odd and entertaining Marsh's museum, and our choice of either: salty, weathered boats in Ilwaco, or the sleepy, charming town of Oysterville. Plus more!
Saturday (optional): let's chat, relax, and start the weekend off right, with a sit down dinner Saturday evening, at the 42nd St. Cafe & Bistro. They have wonderful Caesar salads (the real deal), homemade corn relish, and amazing clam chowder and steamer clams. After dinner, bring your filters and tripod, for photographing blue hour on the beach! Meet up with the group either Saturday at 6:30pm, or Sunday morning at 8:30am, your choice.
Bring: beach appropriate attire, windbreaker, close toed shoes, tripod, ND filters (polarized and darkening, if possible), snacks, water, and a variety of lenses (i.e. wide angle for lighthouses and landscapes, and a telephoto for waterfowl).
